Curtis "Big Hazzard" Thurston, recently going by the monicker, Shooter Bae, is a Washington D.C. born photographer, videographer, director, treatment writer, recording artist, modern polymath and overall avid lover of the arts. Curtis founded his company, District Empire Entertainment, which was initially a rapidly expanding freelance contracting media company and boutique recording label, as a platform for creativity and expressive talent to be shared with the world along with the most talented team to conjure. District Emipire accomplishes this in two manners: through multimedia and music. Passions of Curtis’s under one roof.

Curtis first stepped full force into his creative world around 2015 after a trip to his favorite place, Tokyo, Japan. He’s always had a passion for videography and photography but it became dominant within domestic travels and especially a trip across beautiful Asia.

Curtis specializes in a array of styles within photography and videography from commercial work, music videos, promotional production, portrait, aerial, concert, candid and fashion photography to name a few.

Shooter Bae, has already worked with artists such as Grammy award winning singer and songwriter Mya, Fat Trel, Common, Yo Gotti, Shady/ Griselda Records Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine and Benny The Butcher. Companies like DTLR Villa, &Pizza The Georgetown Hoya’s Basketball team, The Sankofa Beer Company, The Washington Redskins, Pharrell Williams’s Something In The Water festival and more.

His work is still growing, expanding and branching out as he perfects his crafts while reaching to provide the highest professional quality for clients and companies.
